We hosted a 16 people hacker house at ETH Denver in partnership with the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation.

Final and largest stop of Binance Academy World Tour with over 100 students in attendance.

A 3 day, chain-agnostic hackathon with 38 project submissions and 200+ hackers. Our organization’s first hackathon ever!

Throughout our spring semester, we hosted weekly Solidity bootcamp sessions developed by our education team, featuring industry partners to grow our Solidity developer-base.

Waterloo Blockchain was a community partner of EthGlobal for EthGlobal Waterloo. Many of our members were volunteers.

At Hack the North, our directors mentored, gave workshops, hosted social events, and help more people develop on blockchain!

We’ve featured many technologies for workshops so far in 2023! From Protocol Labs who bring you IPFS and Filecoin, to the Graph for on-chain data aggregation, we provide valuable education opportunities to our community.

Our Elite Hackers

Xavier started as a team member at Waterloo Blockchain and became the Chief Technology Officer, now taking his talents to Hackathons. Placing first at EthGlobal Waterloo with Token Rescue Buddy, great job Xavier!

William is our free-spirited hacker who won the Gold at OlympiHacks, Waterloo Blockchain’s first hackathon. If you’re at an EthGlobal Hackathon, you’ll see William on the stage. He is a 22x hackathon winner across AI and blockchain.

Andrew has been very involved in the hackathon space at UWaterloo and beyond. Giving a NEAR workshop at OlympiHacks 2023, Andrew brings extensive experience in fintech, startups, and technical development, having worked with industry-leading companies such as Shopify and Wealthsimple.

Amy started out her IRL Hackathon journey at MIT Reality Hacks, where she led her team to build a sync-to-give VR game for charity. That’s where she was picked up by Solana University to participate in the accelerator program where she secured pre-seed funding for her project RWO Studio.
